My guest post blog series When God Speaks {or doesn’t} isn’t quite over yet!  For today, fashion.

One of the things I’m eager to do on my blog for 2013 is to share some of my beauty secrets.  Only, they’re not really secrets because I’m not doing anything unique or special fashion-wise.  I’m more trend-following, trickster than glamaMOM, game-changer. When it comes to fashion and beauty I have all manner of tricks up my sleeve.

At least once a month in 2013, I’ll be sharing with you Biskie-style, trend-following trickery at it’s best.

{I’ve been reticent to use my blog as a space to talk about things as “un-important” as fashion but many, many people have encouraged me not only to talk about the things I love but to share the knowledge too.  Some have even said my fashion sensibilities inspires them and assured me it was not a cruel joke}.

I recently made the tagline bigger on my header because that’s the direction this blog is heading: an invitation for you to join me as I try to model purposeful, graceful, beautiful living.  One way we can live beautifully is to make the best of what we’ve got: the body of we’ve got, the brains we’ve got, the clothes we’ve got, etc.  I’m not sure how it’s going to play out exactly, (honestly, it’s Grace Biskie you’re talking about here!) but I am going to share the best of what I’m trying to do to live in my own skin and give it to you.  For free.  Yep, because I’m that generous, yo!

This Jan. I started writing -fashion only- posts for a new-ish site called Fancy Little Things.

My first post on FLT was on how to wear one shirt multiple ways.  You can check out that post here…

Today, I’m over at Fancy Little Things talking about 5 ways you can update your Winter 2013 look cheap & easy.  Come on over & join the convo!  I’d love to hear what things you do, if any at all, to update your look…

flt winter 2013 cheap and easy trends

1. Patterned Pants & Leggings -  ALL the rage right now.  I recently got two pairs from Target, {animal print & black/white stripes} both on clearance in the $7-$8 range.  And these little babies aren’t just for the super thin.  I’m a 10 & feel fabulous in them.

You can read the rest of my fashion trickery over at Fancy Little Things…

I am NUTSO for peplum right now! I was worried about how it would look on me since I have bigger hips but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t and actually slimmed me down a bit! I’m with you on sharing fashion tips- I’ve been thinking about doing the same thing since I have many people gasp with astonishment after they compliment my cute outfit when I tell them that it came from goodwill.

Peplum is SUPER CUTE. I have an old yellow turtleneck sweater that sort of has a peplum bottom…it’s more ruffle than peplum, but it’s an adequate poser. Other than that, I haven’t really jumped on the trend though I do adore it. As for you and fashion posts…I agree! I’d love to see you do it (or you can guest post it out here too if you ever wanted to)!
